John Paul McCrohon

Portsmouth born John Paul McCrohon, 'lives breathes eats and dreams Theatre' someone close to him once said, and in my estimation, never a truer word was spoken.
He is the founder member and Artistic Director of 'CCADS' which stands for Corpus Christi Amateur Dramatic Society. Started in 1992 in a Gladys Avenue church.
As well as that, he is a very fine actor and singer.

CCADS has a long list of shows performed. From the well known and ambitious winner Chitty Chitty Bang Bang to some almost unknown 'shows' played perfectly and always to a full house.
Such is there excellence.

On Monday 28th January 2019 CCADS were awarded the Portsmouth NEWS Guide Award for the
Best Amateur Musical Winner for Chitty, Chitty, Bang Bang.
Best Amateur Actor RUNNER-UP was Tony Johnson as The Childcatcher in Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang
Best Amateur Musical WINNER: Chitty, Chitty, Bang Bang by CCADS at The Kings
And finally and not before time, John Paul was honoured when he received the Portsmouth NEWS Guide Award,
